At BlackRock I design the product infrastructure behind ~$6T in assets: automation systems, decision flows, and the internal tooling that keeps institutional finance legible at scale. I work directly with architects and engineering as an individual contributor, which is exactly how I like it.On the side I'm building Tsunam.ai: a longer, quieter experiment in a different kind of infrastructure: the patterns of feeling, attention, and choice that shape how a life unfolds, and whether technology can help us see those patterns with more clarity than we usually manage alone.Both projects are about the same thing, really. Systems that help people see what's actually happening.

WORK & THINKING

I've been in product since 1997. E*TRADE, Apple, PGIM, Prudential, BlackRock. Long enough to have watched consumer fintech get invented, institutional finance digitize slowly and then all at once, and AI move from a feature to the substrate.What I care about: automation that actually reduces cognitive load rather than just shifting it. Decision systems that respect how humans think, not just how spreadsheets do. The intersection of behavioral design and financial infrastructure, which turns out to be a real place with real problems worth solving.I work best as an IC. No team to manage, close to the architecture, moving fast with AI tools. Right now that means autonomous RAG systems, internal knowledge design, and workflow automation at BlackRock scale.
